Luxury three bed, second floor apartment in a converted Benedictine Monastery set in 20 acres of private grounds on the shores of Loch Ness. This luxury, spacious mezzanine apartment has been fitted to the highest specification. Tastefully decorated by Scottish interior design team ANTA coupled with stylish funishings and high specification fittings promise to make your stay both memorable and relaxing. There are a plethora of original features such as the majestic cathedral window in the open plan living area. This beautiful window floods the room with light with wonderful views over the cloisters. As a guest you will have access to all The Highland Club has to offer.

A welcome pack is provided. Our property manager will meet you on arrival and show you to your accommodation.

Facilities included are The BOATHOUSE RESTAURANT providing an idyllic setting on the shores of Loch Ness in which you can enjoy delicious, locally sourced food. The HIGHLAND CLUB SPA AND SWIMMING POOL will be available autumn 2010. Within the stunning grounds OUTDOOR PICNIC TABLES AND BBQ'S are provided for guest use; TENNIS COURT, outdoor TABLE TENNIS, CROQUET LAWN, GIANT CHESS and CHILDRENS ADVENTURE PLAY AREA promise to keep everyone amused. The Monks refectory has been transformed into a CLUB LOUNGE with its oak panelled walls and stained glass windows, providing a sumptuous area to relax with friends or enjoy a game of SNOOKER (WIFI access available).

Local Activities

     
The Highland Club is situated within 2 minutes walk from the centre of Fort Augustus. Amenities include a number of local pubs/restaurants, local supermarket and a variety of gift shops. There is a 9 hole golf course, Tourist Information Centre and many local attractions and beautiful walks without the need to drive if you prefer.

The location allows traffic free access to Aonach Mor ski area during the winter months and year round access to the Highlands and all the local outdoor/adventure sports. The beautiful beaches of the West Coast of Scotland can be found about an hour away with easy access to Isle of Skye across the new bridge at Kyle of Lochalsh. To the East there are several beaches in the Dornoch/Black Isle area. Whisky Distilleries are in all directions, while for the children, the Hogwarts Express is a train that runs along the valley where Harry Potter was filmed. The nearby ruins of Urquhart Castle, Cawdor Castle and the world famous Eilean Donan Castle are all within an hour's drive. Not forgetting the Loch Ness Visitor's Centre and the monster itself....

Please note that building and restoration work at the Abbey is ongoing and this is reflected in the current reduced tariffs. Please be aware that apartments advertised are finished but due to the nature of the project we cannot guarantee that you may not be inconvenienced at some point in your stay.
